Thanks! Yes it does. Things are really moving along now, but winter is right around the corner.

Cold and lots of snow here since my last post. We got record snow here. Been snow on the ground since before Christmas. I have not seen that much snow around since the 70's. Temps have been below freezing for that entire time too! This last weekend was the first weekend that I could stand to go outside. Temps came into the mid 40's so I was able to get a few things done.

I had started the battery box last fall just before the cold set in. I got the floor and sides done, but that was all.

Since overnight lows were projected to be 40 I went ahead and glued in the supports for the false floor.

I also finished up gluing the carpet in the front shelf area.

I got a microwave for Christmas so I was able to see how it fit. I also found a great stainless steel bowl that will be used for the kitchen sink.

Right on, cold weather and snow sure puts a damper on things...
Did you pick a lower wattage microwave? Or is it just to be used when on shore power?

Yes it is a 700 watt microwave. I am looking at getting a 750-1000 watt inverter to run it and the small TV that will probably be inside when no shore power is available. They probably will not get too much use, but could be nice in certain situations or weather.

Right on, It would be nice. My experience with a 750 watt inverter to run a 750watt toaster has been poor. I would reccomend a 1000watt and properly sized wires, they generally come with wires that give you voltage drop and shut down before the battery is actually low.
Some things that you almost never use when camping become lifesavers or a great source of happiness once or twice that your glad you brought it.
I couldnt believe how much better a toaster and an inverter made our one rainy tent camping road trip

Nice thing about a foamie, plenty of room for ballast.... And thanks. It is pretty close now.

Weather is still a bit wonky here, but was able to do a bit of work.

I worked on getting a top on the battery box.

I used some drywall beading and screwed it into the top of the box. It is not permanent as of yet, just a mock up.

I made a top out 1" foam, placed it on top of the drywall beading and tapped lightly. This marked the foam for where I had to cut a groove for the beading with the soldering gun.
