Sorry Ned I have lost several pets and i know how badly it hurts. It is difficult to let them cross the rainbow bridge. But our lives are so much longer than theirs but we have such a huge capacity to love and we can love again. I am thankful for every pet I have had, I know you will find a love sometime in the future.

Well the shop foreman got a new buddy. 139572 They're getting along pretty well. 139570

I really need to finish this trailer I'm working on and find somewhere warmer to go and work Zeeker in the field before we get thaw here in the north. Anybody got some long grass and a pond?

Max has helped me work on many projects over the years and traveled many miles in search of meteorites 139614
When we camp where "dogs not allowed on beach", Max resides in this stealthy crate..139615139616
We have to be careful when desert camping as Max blends in and disappears into the background..137832
Anything is possible, if you don't know it can't be done!

My old friend Nick "moved on" a few weeks ago. It was a bad day but I knew it was coming and I really miss the guy.

The good news, is that yesterday, I met Cora and her other litter mates. She's a nearly three-week old English chocolate lab. I'll pick her up the end of March. Now.... who can top this????

So sorry to hear of your loss, Tony. It is always hard to lose one of our furry family members.

What a cute pup. You definitely win the prize there.

Will she be strictly a companion dog, or will you teach her to hunt, too?

I was more-or-less raised in a duck blind but I don't hunt that often anymore––flyfish a ton. So yes, she'll be trained for bird hunting but mostly as a full-time companion/family dog and tag-along fishing friend. She'll need to watch out for my back-cast, that's for damn sure! :frightened:

She's definetly doomed to camp.

I look forward to meeting you both in person someday. I better brush up on my casting first, though.

Tony, sorry about your old friend. How are things going with your new one? Is she home yet?

Cora is doing great. I've had her a week. Understands sit, come, and off and is more-or-less potty trained. We may do an over-nighter 'drop trip this week so that'll be her first big adventure.
