Hoping not to make the Big thread even BIGGER :o Here’s our New Pet Area ... any pet at all , big or small , don’t matter !!! This is The COOL place to show the world your critters... and NOT the Big thread which is already epically long ...
So watcha’ got ??? I had a 3 legged lizard once that we called Nubby !!! True !!!

Ah shucks. The big thread kind of has a life of its own, like the foamie version of a campfire thread, and I like it that way.

I, for one, like the social interaction that gets mingled in with the technical stuff. The internet is a different place now than the scientist and Dr.s who created it ever intended, but I'm okay with that.

What does everyone else think?

Oops, OT already.

My fur-kids don't camp with us, they like their comforts too much!

This is Gilbert, our literary cat. She (yes, she) is a pirate cat (one-eyed), and therefore was named for Gilbert of Gilbert and Sullivan fame. She is a rescue cat, about 10 or 11 years old, and loves to sleep on books that are out for homework.

This is Maui, one of a litter of 3 who were dumped on my step-mom's farm last summer. We adopted him after we got back from our vacation to Hawaii, and named him for our trip. As a red-point Siamese with a round tummy, though, he has also earned the nickname Sandia (watermelon), or Maui-Sandia, or sometimes Sandia-Cactus for his habit of tackling our legs and ankles with full claws. He will be a year old in July.

Since there is a new Pet Section in Foamieland here we go...

This was my faithfull companion Dixie Doodle. We lost her a week before Christmas
to congestive heart failure. A Boston Terrier and Manchester Chihuahua mix. [Ever hear
of that breed ? A former neighbor here said she had one as a child - must be a southern
breed ? Dixie's mother looked like an up-sized Jack Russell to me]. Very smart and easily
trained and extremely low maintenance. But she was a one person dog - and that person
was me ! Very territorial at home and protective. I really miss my "Honey Girl" - If you
called her that, her tail would wag at warp speed.

This is our remaining dog, Caili Girl. A young Boston Terrier. Very sweet and smart and
stubborn ! And she always has to get the 'last word' in. She's about 2yrs old in the pic. She
loves everybody and would "kiss" you all day if she could. Commanding "Bad Habit !" is the
best way to get her to cease the "kissing". She was named after the Gaelic "caileen", which
means "girl". We later learned that "Caili" also means "Party !/ Party Time!" [or such] in
Gaelic, so now we say she's our "Party ! Girl".

103691

A more 'Formal' Pic.

103692

Here's Caili's favorite nap position.

103690

Caili and Dixie together.

103693

It's Tug Time ! ! ! [We still have to play'Tug' with Caili every day.]

103694

Cheers,
Norm/mezmo
