Loved looking through all the pics of the pets. Sorry to read about all the losses, while I did not know them, it breaks my heart.

I have a cat- not really by choice. And a ESS. I lost my once in a life time ESS 2 years ago. At the time Eli was a pup and bought solely for a companion for Murphy-the once in a life time dog. Right after losing Murphy I had health issues. My cat became a pet -after 7 years of co existing! I don't think at first I was fair to Eli I didn't want the hurt I had losing Murphy again. But as the say time heals. Eli is shy which might be due to his age at the time of all the issues. But he is also a very ( can be ) well behaved dog. Not perfect but very lovable. I can picture not having another cat, but not never having a dog.

I am a Scottish Terrier breeder and owner. We do a lot of dog things.

The TD is a major diversion from most activities.

The newest addition to the household : 4 days old now.

Here is the "princess" of our home: MAGGIE. She is 1/2 shit-zu, 1/4 pug and 1/4 wire terrier. In other words, just a loveable little mut. Not enough money to buy her, especially after she save thexwife's life 3 times in the last 2 months, by getting my attention when "momma's" sugar had 'crashed ,. Once when it was so low I had give her Glucogon injection. Good dog Maggie.

Tough to lose one so close ... but I’ll bet she had a GOOD life ... All one could hope for !!!

Thank you all. It's been tough, but we are adjusting. We still have several other fur kids to fill our time, and come spring or so we may look for another bright eyed four legged bundle of joy or two. I want another dachshund , Lori wants either a miniature husky or a mutt. We have some healing to do, though first.
