(just like foam, PVC is moldable at a certain temp, just like foam it releases toxic gasses above that temp, I've seen pictures of boats made from PVC pipes that were slit lengthwise, then usng heat they were molded into a boat, imagine the planks in a lapstrake boat and you get the picture, each flattened pipe became a plank) YMMV

thanks, I forgot more than I remembered each time I read through the thrifty thread, this gives an easy way to find where ideas were mentioned. Nothing new yet, just got back from a week at the beach in ME, no web... and a coolant leak from the van engine :(
