Duck Tear canvas question

Ok I stated a project in mid Juneand finished up for the CRA gathering, kinda started as a joke but I'm starting to really like it. I'm planning on canvasing it over the winter and adding more inside cabinets for clothing and such. I'll get more inside pics and add them later.
Here's what I have so far

Started out as a PVC skeleton


Cooler drawer and cabinet drawer out of the old tear I tore down


Foam insulation in the spaces in the PVC, calked around all the edges


Galley doors on and duck tape started




Wallpaper going up inside (vinyl table cloth spray glued)


A/C in and tape still going on



Enjoying the CRA notice the glow in the dark duck tape, helped me find it at night




Worked wonderful and slepted great through the rain storm Friday night

Now that is something completely different. You should have let me know. I can get 6" wide tape real easy here. Well any one in a spud growing area can. Trouble with duct tape. It is not meant to be in the sun and will get nasty. But I bet you do not plan it to be a long term deal any way.

You could add stripes with the colored tape available these days.

Scott I really loved your Duck Tear I was so impressed. I am glad you brought the picts up here I was wondering how the actual build went. Very interesting. I still say you should sent the picts to Duck!!!! Enjoyed seeing it at CRA.

I'll bite; what do spud farmers use 6 inch wide duct tape for?

( giggling ) I was wondering who would ask first. I the spud cellars we put aluminum pipe under the spud pile so air can be ran through the pill. The pipe is about 2 feet diameter and about 12 feet long. Pieces of pipe are placed end to end and "Duct taped" together.

Here is the only picture I have been able to find, so far. The pipe is stored outside before use. In the sides on the cellar there are air ducts with holes to fit the pipe in. As the spuds are piled inside The pipe is stuck into the walls, and taped together. Spuds are piled on top of them to about 12-14 feet deep. There are holes about 1.5 inches diameter in the pipe for the air to enter the spud pile. Temp is usually held about 38 degrees and humidity about 98% if I remember correctly. Also depends on the variety and if they have just been harvested or about to be taken out. Whew, I had a whole 3 credit college course on this back in 97.

Things are a lot different than when I ran a cellar when I was 13-14 years old.

Wow, the things I never knew about potato harvesting & processing. I could actually spy the duct tape on the pipes in the video.

The "Spudnik" 1860? Some manufacturer has a sense of humor. Totally off topic but what was going on around 2:00 with the chunks dropping out the bottom of the line. Were those spud duds?

Those were the ones that had too many “eyes" ... they’re shipped directly to the CIA ...

You know , you can interconnect the PVC pipe pieces by using the next larger size pipe , heating it and pressing the smaller pipe into it ... making it “takedown” if you want ... Thinking about a takedown awning system for the trailer ... just pop it together ... and you can also heat bend the pipe to a small radius if you want for those 90 degree angles ...
