OMG I have a foamie weighing in at 1,120 Lb and I'm not even done with it I started adding the cabnets inside today and the hardwood paneling and I still have to canvas the outside. I might have the record for the heaviest foamie build

I think you can relax a bit. Aligator likely holds the heaviest foamie award for his Army Goose. At 6x11 feet, it weighed in at 1,640 lbs. However, his had a lifting roof and, of course, having a lifting roof automatically adds some weight. His build thread is here: viewtopic.php?f=55&t=49879 :)

That's cool that would work good if my first plan doesn't work out
I'm getting some material that is used for building the wall deviders in offices not sure how it'll work but it's worth experimenting with and at 8'x40' roll and free the price was perfect

Yep mines about that size 6.5'x11.5' I'm sure it's mostly frame weight It's still balanced so I can pick the front up with one hand and walk it around, and when you slide the cooler out in the galley it'll tip backwards we found out the hard way

JS, I know this is an odd question , but how tall are your tires ???

If you want the real weight of the build , best weigh the bare trailer First, just to see what you’re starting with ... Some little trailers are deceptively Heavy ... :o

Don’t think a 1200# weight is a big deal ... It’s a BIG trailer eh ! 8) ... (Lots of Duct tape ) ...
There’s no place like Foam !

That is the truth. The stand up I built as on a 1964 Hi-Lo and the bare frame without the deck on it came in a 964 lbs...

Not real sure on the tires they're whatever size came on the old POP Up, 12" I think

Not real worried about weight it's still a lot less than it used to be and I'm pulling with a truck now instead of the mini van.

I keep adding weight I've been working on the inside cabinets and testing my fabric on one door.

Galley side view of cabinets, under the bean can will have a wall as it's the back side of the dvd shelf in the cabin, left cabinet will have a back wall like the right side

Door knob installed, sure beets the little hook and eye I had on the door.

Canvas on one door should look interesting at next weekends gathering

Scott,

Just read through your build. There's a lot of good ideas here that lma gonna steal on the next build.

BTW my son Preston enjoyed playing with your boys at the gathering last weekend. Hope to see you guys in the fall at Bluffton. We'll miss the summer gathering.

OK so I'm working on de ducting the door's first that duct tape is some sticky stuff, came off the foam ok but just doesn't wanna come off the PVC very easy.
Any one have any ideas how to remove duct tape from plastic. Guess I found out just how good the stuff is can't wait to start removing it from the big section

Acetone or denatured alcohol are my to-to cleaners....goof off is good too, but not if there is any plastics involved....duct tape adhesive is really hard to clean up....

When using "tape/glue removing liquids" be careful, the foam could react in a bad way to the chemicals.

No foam on the doors at least I've removed it, that will be an issue on the sides thanks for the heads up.

I'm having an issue pulling the tape off the plastic it's coming off in little sticky pieces gonna take forever :x

Try using a heat gun or hair dryer to warm up the tape before pulling it off.
Of course, not too hot to melt the PVC ....
