other than damage from dragging the tear over rocks, curbs or stumps, the bottom of the tear would only show a random ding from a rock thrown up by the TV. (unless you live where the roads are all gravel and tow there all the time) As we know from others experience, random rock dings can be patched with vinyl spackle, sanded smooth and covered with more painted on fabric, if deep, or just Ironed with a wet cloth to restore the surface.

After looking at GPW's hammer test and hail test on the camo foamie, canvas covered foam shouldn't fall apart. And it can be fixed if minor ding appears.

My 2 cents.

Almost 3 years living outside now and it’s holding up just fine ... No leaks , no Rot , just a rusty window hinge , because I got the wrong kind :duh: ... replacing that now with a good AL hinge and SS screws...

Thank you everyone for your help. I have gotten some of my insulation main panels covered and am in the process of mounting them up between the ribs of my trailer. Time will tell how well it wears, but if it doesn't I can always go to plan B and use fiberglass reinforced panels as a covering. This should really be an "acid test" for the canvas covers. First panel installed:

Very Nice. If I ever decide to insulate under floor, I was thinking about doing it that way but adding an thin AL skin. With the mattress and the under bed storage I have plenty enough dead air to not really need any insulation so I just have 1/2" ply coated with "post" paint
