Proposed paint scheme.

As you can see in the picture, I am thinking about removing the vent and mounting the solar panel on top. No leaks that way. Four latches for the hatch and a solar vent for air movement back there, plus it adds a light for the area.

While waiting on glue to dry, I tackled the vent removal. That ever bond stuff is some sticky stuff.

I won in the end. Off to get some more adhesive to patch up the hole.

I bought enough ever bond to cover the repaired area. I will paint it to match and it will be under the solar panel, so out of sight. More later...

Bought the paint today. Glad the final choices are made. Power has been out for 5 hours or so. I set up the truck fridge to run off the battery via a 1500W converter. It's set to minus 6 and stuffed full. We shall see how it does over night. Electric might be back early tomorrow. 8)

That Eternabond was bought at a sheet metal roofing supply place , half the price , than the RV dealers and trailer websites wanted , and even then, It’s been Years since we put it on .... STICKY STUFF  ... One of the few trailer things that actually DOES work as advertised ... ;)

Always made me wonder why the RV Dealers/manufacturers INSISTED on using that self-leveling caulk , that won’t even last a year ...

The battery hardly dropped. There's a small turkey under all those bags of veggies. Everything is rock solid. That fridge paid for itself with change left over. I am a very happy camper.

Did a mock up today of the AC location and the placement of three IKEA Thule units. They will hold shoes, socks, and other small items. Currently planning on putting 1" finished foam shelves between them. The AC will be permanent through the wall and enclosed in the tongue box.

Bonnie , JMHO , I wouldn’t enclose the outer half of the AC in a tongue box .... It needs to be out in the “air" to disperse the heat drawn from inside the trailer ...
All that storage will be Nice eh !!!
