I asked because I do not know!! I have no experience with it. but a deep gouge might not fix it's self. Or would it??

Deep gouge ?? You mean the kind of hit that would put a hole in Fiberglas or wood … ?? I can’t recall anyone ( Foamie) ever having one … It’s not like you think … Foamies are not that delicate … ;) And Yes , they do heal themselves … Or are EASY to repair as you can read on the FoamStream restoration thread …
