Here is a shot of the spare tire carrier and spare tire. Together they add another 46 lbs to the trailer. So we can just round it off and call it 1200 lbs. As far as I can tell, that is still light even for a pop up trailer. Even more than weight, I am happy that the trailer came out simple, functional and stylish. Those were really my 3 primary goals.

NM, 1200 lb. is pretty incredible , and you’ve got all your built-ins too ...

The build was great to watch and the final product even better. I think the best thing about it, is the speed of the build.

It is encouraging to see the how quickly it went together compared to some builds. The entire process seems much less daunting. It shows how much it helps to have a plan together before hand.

Here is a picture of my porta-potty dump station. Dumping in the toilette isn't too bad but the potential for making a HUGE mess was enough that I wanted to find a better solution. I just shortened a regular RV sewer hose and the outlet from the porta-potty is slipped inside the sewer hose. In this pic it is being held in place by a couple of rubber bands.

In theory, it is supposed to work like this;

1. Take the black water tank out and set it on the box near the dump station.
2. Take the cap off the outlet to the porta-potty and slip the end inside the sewer hose and secure it (rubber bands at the moment)
3. Make sure the other end of the sewer hose is secure in the dump stations fitting.
4. Rotate the black water tank and outlet spout so that the waste pours down into the dump station (Position shown in picture below). Mine has a button to press to admit air so that the waste pours out easier.
5. Open the flush valve and use the hose to wash out the inside of the tank.

This should keep the mess to an absolute minimum while allowing me to get the tank clean. I haven't actually tried this yet so if anyone sees a problem with this set up, please speak up.

I don't know... it feels more complicated. I have a porta-potty, did not use that yet, but I would maybe try to practice as original design damping with just pure clean water and see whether you need this more complicated setup?
Actual advantage of porta-potty is that it can be dumped in any toilet, not a damping station which many times are not free.

I agree. We dump ours in the toilet and don't have any issues. If you use the "stinky slinky" then you have to find some way to clean it out, store it, etc. Plus, to me at least, a full porta-potty has quite a lot of weight, making dumping it a two-handed operation. I wouldn't want to wrestle the porta-potty and hose at the same time.
