Seems like mostly our tears are affected by the aerodynamics of the vehicle we tow with more than their own shapes. It's really moot if you don't go all that fast anyway from what I have read here and elsewhere; that is, unless your teardrop has a massive flat front surface rising above the tow vehicle profile like a box shaped "standy".

Fred, we had a 19’ ,commercial trailer with a blunt front end ( like most ) and it was like towing a parachute.... (that and 4000 lbs.) a real beast . :o

The new Lighter FoamStream (<1000lbs.) and rounded shape , tows like nothing is there... 8) :D

Just thinking about aerodynamics Vs headroom , I made yet another drawing of wall to roof profiles ...
One thing I failed to convey in the previous drawings was that these shapes could ( and should) be further rounded , the edges softened into a smooth round radius (no sharp edges) .

For us shorties the head room is not a big deal with a standie if someone taller builds it..................

Mary that’s True !!! So we all have to adjust our designs to suit OUR particular needs. ;) One of the reasons I feel the need to keep making drawings , exploring the possibilities.
