Foam banned? i suppose careful use might be better.

Here in the Great Lakes, there's a problem developing about plastic microbead from soaps, cleaners, and such. They don't degrade, and fish may ingest them or get them caught in their gills.

It is my understanding that the Callie ban is at least in part due to out cries over The Great Pacific Garbage Patch, which is a valid concern IMO.

I had a coworker who referred to this as "The Bug and Bunny Brigade", but the line does need to be drawn somewhere on some things. California does tend to take things to the extreme, though. Part of the problem is geographic. One of their major metropolis' with a high population density, LA County, is surrounded by the San Gabriel Mt's, so all of the pollution is trapped along the coast, which is why it is smoggy there all of the time. Makes people try to do stuff about "it".
