For foam to foam I used the original GG; brown syrup like liquid that foams up when activated by humidity or light spray misting of water on opposite part to be joined. I believe this is what people are referring to when they refer to Gorilla Glue. The other stuff is a PVA wood glue like TB2, IIRC.

I found that the shelf life after opening is short, maybe living in Florida has something to do with that .

We have some pretty high humidity here, too, so I would always be methodical about putting the cap back on unless I was actively dispensing.

I've got a little bottle of Gorilla Glue that is 3, 4 maybe 5 years old. I keep it in the 'fridge. It gets thick when it is cold so I need to turn it upside down for a bit to use. If I were building something critically structural I would buy a new bottle. My favorite construction adhesive is PL 3x and 8x.

Every time I've bought GG I end up throwing about half of it away since as soon as there's enough air in it (with moisture) it pops off. I've started to fill my polyurethane finish cans up with propane from my hand torch and it seems to really help preserve the stuff. (Propane is heavier than air so it does a good job of displacement of the air.) There are inert gasses made just for this but the propane torch is handier.

I don't think I'm creating anymore of a fire hazard than I already have with the poly. I think I'll do that with the next bottle of GG if I can unscrew the lid without making a mess.

I like the propane idea Tony. My old roommate from the late 60's would burn a match over the paint before the lid went on thinking the CO2 would keep it better. I'm not sure why my Gorilla Glue is lasting so long. I do put the cap on right away and keep it in the 'fridge.

We had a storm here today and a dead branch from a big maple fell on my camper. Little to no damage but there is a dark mark in the roof coating I want to recoat over.
