When slicing your foam (2") , for the roof. Is it better to have the Kerf/slices on the outside of the trailer (easier to reshape) ? Or Inside the trailer ( a more solid exterior surface) and the reshaping sanding to be done on the inside of the trailer.
With the Kerf's sliced on the outside, there a wide V slices to fill with GS. With the Kerf's sliced on the inside, you'll have tight/close fitting slices....you get the idea....so what's the preferred method ?

I used two 1 inch pieces of foam and placed the kerfed sides so they faced each other in the middle. No need to reshape the outside or inside....

If I had thought that far ahead. I would have bought 1" foam. But bought all my foam in 2", can't return any. Bought it in October. 90 day return policy.
So I'm left with cuts outside or inside.

Inside. If you do the math right they are pinched closed on the inside and smooth on the outside.

Makes sense , next question..Do you fill all of the Kerf s with GS, while the foam is still flat (which will compress when bent)? Or Bend the radius first/ and then try to fill the Kerfs with GS ? (Thinking you might not get all the Kerfs full of GS.)

I used GG not GS for better expansion control. The gaps are only a saw kerf wide. So I ran a thin line in each one and spread it a bit with one of those metal pipe dope brushes. Since they are disposable and small enough to mostly fit in the gap.

Also I like the longer working time of GG.

Don't use too much. Check my bikedrop build. Link is in my signature. It foams out and makes a hard to clean up mess. I had almost no over foam on my big build.
