WOW!!!!!! You guys are amazing!!! :wine:

I can't thank you both enough for your suggestions. :lips:

We could do the tudor building that Glen drew on the 24' Fleetwood Wilderness with which we need to gut and start over.

I'll keep working on it.

Thanks again!

I would point out that if you're not going too far or fast. Catherine had her problem in New Mexico in wind that would have had all but the hardiest westerners pulling over. Didn't she say like 50mph winds?

I remember her saying she was going about 50 mph when it happened, but the pictures of the flags she posted show a pretty stiff breeze.... if that was even a quartering wind, that'd put some really serious force on the side of the trailer. Plus, I think she was so interested in keeping her towed weight down that she had virtually nothing in the trailer.

I'm building in ballast. Lots of two-by framing in the floor. 5/8 plywood floor. So far about 500 lb below 20" height. Not terribly worried about "maximum tow weight".... impossible to get too heavy for TV to pull it--might go slower but it'll pull-- the only limiter I recognize is the strength of the trailer frame and its suspension.

Since my 'sail' is gonna be 6x10 on each side face, I need LOTS of low weight to keep it greasy side down!

I had the thought of making a trailer axle into a “dually” to increase the tire stance ( wider, safer in a breeze ) … Might look Cool too … no “scrubbing” hassles like a tandem … cept’ maybe changing a tire ? … Wonder if anyone’s done that before …it’s common on pickups around here...

Get out of my head, Glen! I was just thinking that today, it'd widen the track by a foot, give or take. Won't work on anything over 7-6 wide to start with, but the smaller ones, yeah it would totally change the side-force effects, for the good!

My apologies for being so Dumb , just figured out how to make a really streamline Tudor house (trailer) Just wed the roof and front together ... :o No curves to cut or bend … but the wind doesn’t know that … ;)

Thank you everyone for all the time and thought put into this. We suddenly lost a loved one last night and she was integral to this project. We can't do this without her so the project is cancelled.

Thank you again so much. It was fun knowing you. I'll visit from time to time to see what people are doing.

Be excellent to each other.
