Filling dings and gaps in foam?

Postby steepski » Mon May 15, 2017 8:27 pm

I picked up some cheap xps foam from a local construction site. It's in great condition for the most part, but has a few small gouges and dents. Any ideas on what would be the best to fill them in with? Standard spackle or joint compound?

Thanks!

Great Stuff applied sparingly, level off with a wide putty knife, then when set a Surform plane

You could try spritzing it with some water, covering that with a cloth towel and Ironing it on a mid heat setting … The steam re-expands the foam …

Some people pour boiling water over it , from the kettle … Try that first ..
There’s no place like Foam !
