Saying goodbye to the Nookery

It’s been a long and eventful year. I just wanted to let everyone know I no longer own the nookery, a.k.a. Foamie #1. It’s new owner will finish it out and be able to enjoy camping in it.

I have had a drastic change in finances and lost my ability to tow anything. I’m settling into this new chapter in my life and will still check in from time to time. Happy trails.

I miss Bonnie already , for those who are new here, Bonnie had ownership of the very First Foamie trailer I can remember , and some time ago ( The Bub viewtopic.php?f=5&t=19227&hilit=coalburner ) , save that fiberglass /foam hybrid “Glassice" worked on ( viewtopic.php?t=11853 ) , but then he disappeared , trailer never finished AFAIK .. never heard from him again … :o

Vintage foamie craft , pioneering the way to "where no FOAM trailer has gone before" … 8) “ They will be missed !!!

“ We’ve come a long way Foamie !!! “ ;)

Been asked Who makes it? And it that fiberglass? By far (I think) the easiest way to build. It has no wood above the drop floor. No wood hard points. Just foam and canvas. The tonnea pickup bed cover galley hatch almost eliminated the need for galley hinge reinforcement. It is nice that this group freely shares ideals
Thank's again to those that pioneered the system. Wish I could have been to a meet with you. Safe and happy life travels Bonnie.

Thank you all for the kind words and best wishes. I will be checking every now and again. Foamie building is addictive. I kept a small cache of “things” to hopefully start again some day. Until then, I will dream ...
