Just a FYI. The person who purchased #3 hit a deer with it at 60mph on his way back home. Taking the frozen turkey test to the next level. Luckily he missed the deer with his small pickup he was towing it with. Could have been a lot worse.

Considering this unfortunate circumstance I think the trailer faired quite well and should be repairable.

He said he he had thought he had missed the deer, but then looked in the rear view mirror. He saw a antler flying off and the deer spinning down the road from the impact. To top things off, he also lost the keys to it somewhere between here and there too.

I told him to wait a week or so and see what the foam does. He could not check the interior for damage since he lost the keys. I think, going by the pictures, it should recover pretty good. Some TB II with a syringe to re-glue the canvas down, a little caulk to fill in the tears and a coat of paint should get it looking good again or at least get it usable.

Took me half a week to get some canvas from Harbor Freight. Had to wait till their shipments came in. Went to two stores to get enough canvas. Opened up a package and found a seem right away. Yup it is the bad canvas. Took it back and ordered some online. Now I have to wait another 10-15 days for delivery.

On the other hand I found my hot wire jigs to work great for cutting the side profile and door and window cutouts...

Took longer than expected to get the canvas. 20 day delay plus the Harbor Freight wait. Luckily I had other things to get done around the house while I was waiting. I am working again so it looks like trailer production will be slowing down a bit.

Anyway, here is a shot of the hot wire jig cutting the rear arc of the back wall.

I made a jig for the window and door. The hot wire and jig makes for a nice tight fit and now no pink dust laying all over.

Luckily I was able to find a good price for some 10oz canvas with free shipping. Just had to wait a long time to get it.

25 yards of canvas on a roll for shipped for $10.00 more the the Harbor Freight canvas. Not too bad. It has a tighter weave than the good Harbor Freight canvas that I have used.

The Valspar Bonding primer seems to be working well. Here is a shot of me removing some canvas. You can see that the TBII has bonded well to the primer and the primer is peeling off foam.

I will be adding roof supports on this one for a test for making 5 foot wide units. Rear shelves are dadoed into the side walls. More wiring for more lighting options.
