An old test on 1.5" cut twice, three 1/2 vs bent pretty well till it didn't.

I thought that two cut's may work, but when I pulled to see how eazy it may be to glue  The outside pre cuts? don't help

Yesterday I got 2 7/8" pink foam.
If today goes better then yesterday all I need are two tips
At just the right place; & the smoke from the same

May be leather gloves and some, foam handles.

Did you bend the pieces together or separately and then glue. I think you may find if you restrain the ends of the piece you're bending it will better conform to the curve. I've used that making wood forms with sheet metal binding the outside.

Only a 4’ wide cut test, while playing with it; pulling to test how to glue, snapped it. That piece is only squeezed like that.

Is cutting the other way any better where the snap lines are?
The concrete is on top!

Didn't help :frightened:

I thought cutting the foam would be the hard part.
I think the bearings went first, day's & still not done :frightened:

Just a note : When bending foam to the extreme , the outside of the bend is most venerable to cracking (Tension) . So the easy thing to do is put some kind of tape on the outside , even cheap packing tape will take the tension loads and prevent cracking while bending . Fiberglass tape while more pricy works the best ... Even with kerfing' , tape works !!! ;)

The 4' rule tells all, forward is the 10 lb'r
Behind it inside; 15'.
If you measure like a boat, within inches
