Mustard is fine, but very, very, very ,very little.... If you can't taste the dog, it probably isn't worth eating...

Put the dog in a frypan with a little water and cover with a domed sauce pan lid.
Steam the dog to heat it thru, then pan fry to give the casing some snap.
On a poppyseed bun, deli mustard & diced tomatoes, red onions & dill pickles.
It makes a very fine meal :ok:

Ketchup and onions go on my dogs and burgers. I hate mustard! Even the smell of it makes me gag! I don't like mayo either, and in spite of my German heritage, I don't like sauerkraut! Yeah, I'm a snoopy bastard! But here's one for you: One of my favorite meals is liver and onions!
Go figure! :?

I agree, except leave off the onions, and burn the hot dog a little, so it looks well done. Makes me hungry. Think I'll go burn a hot dog.

ketchup on a hot dog? BLASPHEMY!

Postby daveleb55 » Sat Aug 11, 2007 2:44 pm

It must be kosher (that means good quality); preferably with mustard, relish, cooked onions, and chili, with melted cheese. In the absence of more sophisticated condiments, mustard and relish will do.

Maybe people that eat hotdogs are the same kinda folks that...
eat, drink, smoke, ride motorcycles, and don't worry about the risks?

Uncle Mike, That's the way I like 'em too. Dark and well done. A litte spicy mustard and a pickle spear is my normal style. Oh yeah, don't forget the pepper.

The dogs taste better when they are really hot. Boiled until they split is a good way too.

Natural casing dogs are my favorite but around town they are not very popular. I guess they just don't know good food.

Ironically, I like my steaks and Burgers medium rare.

My favorite, from way back. Mustard and cheese. A Wienerschnitzel wonder.
