I think Mike is a great designer. But my own sense is that the original Roswell has the look and the giant Roswell looks like something that could be pulled by an AMC Moon Mo bile. Remember them?

JMHO since you asked for it

del,

I know what you're asking, but I don't know how to do metallic flake paints. I did make it brighter yellow for you, and applied the name Dean chose to the side...

Are you really going to build this and paint it bright yellow? :?

At the belly level it's approx 72" wide. That's what allows us to get a 70" mattress in there... (aka King size).

You have to decide what you want to build. But here's the graphic

Build the original if you want a Roswell... AND spend your own money.
OR....
Get corporate sponsorship and build the Jelly Belly with their money...
How could they say no???
That thing is just too cute! 8)

I did that cause Dean named it the Jelly Belly.

No I can't do a Hot Dog teardrop. You'd have to refer to the Oscar Mayer Mobile for your inspiration...

I did do a beer teardrop once... no one ever commented on it. Let me see if I can find it...

Mike, that yellow version is really neat.. I have big construction concerns about the curved walls..

I'm going to curve in the front of the side walls on mine, and have still not come up with an insulatable easy building technique....(meaning, a curved double wall with insul in between)..

'cept I prefer to call it a giant Roswell! Unless someone comes up with a better name.

Here's a pic of the Giant Roswell with the rubber jeep fenders on it.

Mike,

Why not call it the "Mother Ship"? I'm sure the word "mother" would come up often during the construction phase. 8)

mike

does your original copy of the bright yellow trailer have greater resolution (more pixels)? if so is possible to get a copy (e-mail)?

thanks del

Image

warning purists cover your eyes.

this is the trailer i want to build. will not pull my hair out building the fenders, and has more space inside it. in mikes words let some skinny guy build the original. will use some of andrews simplifications ie a little longer, making framing easier. thanks to everyone for their comments.

to avoid copyright infringements jelly belly needs to change at least slightly (yellow belly) any suggestions?

and finally to the person who suggested i pull this with an amc pacer. this is supposed to be family oriented so i can not respond.
