...well I certainly wouldn't consider us "manufacturers" in the same sentence as the others mentioned...just a couple of guys piddlin' in the shop

p.s. but we sure wouldn't mind though

There are a number of manufacturers out there that really build a quality product. However, I'm with Eddie...it just seems to be much more rewarding to custom build something you want. It's kinda like asking...which is better Ford or Chevy? It's a real potential can of worms....Doug

They all make good products, that's why there in business. People have bought them and are happy with them.
If you're happy with a mass produced model go check the mainstream builders.
If you are after something unique, check out the specialist builders like gatortears or Grant Whipps product.

Time is the only real capital we have. Money you can replace but time you cannot.
And back on subject . . . The Yoder Toter is not "boring," nor is it a second-rate teardrop. I think you will find several owners on this forum who are quite satisfied with their purchases of Yoder Toters, Jennifer and I included. The craftsmanship is very good, and wood joints and exterior constuction first rate. We have been in some horrendous rainstorms with ours and have yet to ship one drop of water. If you would rather buy than build, consider this make as well as others. Whatever you decide, Happy Camping!

Another note on 'manufacturered' tears. I wouldn't call them boring, as with any tear you can add your own 'mods'... we replaced fenders and modified the galley for example.
Besides considering the 'quality' I would definately consider how the galley is designed, as they are all quite different, and you will find some are better suited to you usage than others.
I don't mean to ruffel anyones feathers. I'm just saying it's like a car you talk about modifing thats usaully because your car is boring and you want it to be different. I haven't seen a Yoter toter but I have seen a SoCal Teardrop and a few Camp Inns and both are well built, The Camp Inns are a superior trailer, and I understand some people don't have the place or the means to build one. The one thing I do know for a fact is it's cheaper to build a trailer than to buy one unlike a streerod it's better to buy one done than to build one.
