What is the best way to make teardrop walls?

There are many more than you have above. One of the most popular is either 1/4" or 1/8" luan outside, 3/4 framing with insulation and 1/4" or 1/8" inside.

To be honest, the best wall is the one that works best for you!! Like bledsoe3 said, there are lots more opions and one of the most common is the 3/4" framing and insulation with 3/8" or 1/4" on the outside and 1/8" on the inside.

TDS, the correct answer is the one that Kerry gave...the one that works best for you...we build using 3/4" 13 ply Birch cabinet grade plywood......

I also used 3/4 extrior grade ply. Coudn't get it tinner in a 4 x 10 sheet. Good thing too when my drive shaft flew from under my pick up it hit the front then swung and hit the side of the tear leaving only a gouge.

If you want insulation, then you have to make room for it. Mine is 3/8" outside with 3/4" framing and insulation and 1/8" interior, but next time I will only use 1/4" on the outside. I built mine originally according to the Cubby plans (with a couple of modifications).

Would this be a good method if a person was going to skin it in aluminum?

Mine is skinned in aluminum. (No rot cuse it's sealed right.)
