Nawlinsteardrop. Nice pic’s but Can you resize your pic’s to something a little more dialup friendly?  ;)

Good, Glad it worked.

I am glad the resize worked. I wanted everyone to see how the teardrop looked and how the AC solar panels looked.

Beautiful teardrop and great pictures. I like seeing the solar panels better than an air conditioner. Great job all around.

Those planes are on static display, I don't think they run. They probably were tied down with more permenant tie downs, still not stonge enough though. I drive by there all the time, one of these days, I'll have to stop by and check it out.

My alma mater got hit with an F2 tornado when I was home for Christmas. They lost 50 of 65 aircraft. They were interviewing some school official on the news and he said, "We usually move the aircraft when we have notice, but when your notice is 15min, what can you do?" Look at these damage pics.

In Hangar

Postby nawlinsteardrop » Wed Mar 21, 2007 12:55 am

The planes were on static display. They were in the new Hangar that was built a couple years ago. I think they had tons of damage to just about everything. The big b-52 looked OK as did the DC-3.

Looks like they got a little help after the storm. A new probably ready to fly F-18 and F-14 are on the parking lot now. The hanagar is not open yet. I think the whole back side washed away. They had like a 15 foot surge

...great pics and it looks like y'all hadda real good time...thanks for sharing...may I offer a suggestion on the pics...in the future, choose a couple or three representative pics and post a link to the rest...folks will follow the link 'cause we just luv da pics and it will save the folks on dial-up the frustration of having to wait for all the pics to load...just a suggestion to make it nicer for all....

I think the panels look fine. And trip looks even better.

Because of the paint markings on that F/18 in the back ground. It's most likely one of the first nine built and was used only for evaluation & testing. Wonder what the tail number is? Acourse I don't know what good that would do beings how I don't remember what they were. That was a long time ago.
By the way, nice pictures and I'm glad your trip was a success.

Hey Gage, I remember having a model with that paint job. Lemme see, I was in 7th or 8th grade. :R Early 80's?

NWTP: do you drive with the panels installed like that? I'd be afraid that a rock or chunk of tire would render one useless.
