Building or Camping?

My building experience was like a bell curve. The most rewarding part was mid-build, after the pain of ordering and acquiring was done.... near the end, I just was trying to finish up the 'punch list'.....

Traveling, it was always nice to have my own bed at night..

Since I didn't build mine, I guess it's the camping part for me.

That depends on the time of year!! 8)
In the winter, when things outside are cold and the water's too hard to paddle in!!  , I like to build something, anything!! I have really enjoyed building Teardrop Trailers. Once the air warms, well, I'm outa the shop, heading for the woods!

I Can honestly say that I enjoy bulding my trailer then camping. If I just enjoyed camping, I would use a tent. MAYBE I like to do both. I'm starting to get a little fruedian. :D

Why not start up a campground where each site comes with a teardrop build kit? The fast you build, the quicker you get out dah the rain!

How about a new Discovery Channel Show called "Teardrop Build-Off Challenge"!
Two Builders, One Day, Baddest Teardrop Wins!

They need to do a new TV show... Instead of the dirtiest house, it would be the most messed up Teardrop. Then a team comes in and redoes the teardrop... You wouldn't recognize it when they are done!!!

How about the 'Torn Up Teardrop Decor Show'.

Since Kate and I didn't build our tear, we tend to spend more time decorating it. We're always picking up new and improved nic-naks and such. There might not be much room to sleep in it by next summer!

Kate would love to host the show!

I enjoy both aspects. I build at all times of the year and camp year round as well. I think they both compliment each other. Building is very rewarding and taking it out camping is where strangers tell you what a good job you did. The male ego is a very complex thing.

Happy Trails

Well, I'm just starting to build and am looking forward to it but I really think I will enjoy the camping the most. We've been tenting for 20+ years now and I'm getting tired of battling (and losing) the weather.

As far as new TV shows, I would like to see a show called OVERTeardropHAULIN' where you guys all come grab all my parts, tell me it was "stolen" then return a week later with the coolest teardrop ever made.

If there is any chance of that, just remember I'd like the following:

Fridge
AC
5x10
Queen Bed
DVD & Stereo (Yeah, sort of a Pimp my Teardrop kinda thing)
Some incredible paint and graphics
Some nice bling bling on the rims

Shoot, you could throw in a nice '68 Camaro as a tow rig. Wow, you guys ARE great!!
