I'm the kind of person that takes my time packing up and generally cleaning everything up at camp (including doing laundry if facilities are available) so that I can just unload and haul the T@B to storage when I get home.

So what does everyone else do??

OOps ya missed me. I hang around and get my moneys worth. Then clean up at home at my leisure.

We stick around and make sure the camp site is cleaner than when we got there. No hurry to get home. Heck we just might stay an extra day to beat the Sunday 'go home' traffic. Damn, being retired is a good thing. :)

Not saying that we ever leave early cause we don't, but we clean up at home. Strip the sheets and do laundry. Wash dishes in a sink with hot water, that kind of thing.

...we drag our feet as long as possible and quite often add a day...we also clean up around the campsite. usually leaving it better than when we arrived...as far as our gear, it is usually cleaned enough to pack it home and finish up there........

We stay late make sure everyone else leaves out ok and help them if they need the help.
At the Medceno camp out (we were in a tent) we were the last to come and the last to stay and turned in the Key for them.

Made it look nice so if they came back next year it would be in open arms.
And often the last one are more layed back and interesting to talk too.

At Montana De Oro we had a talk with the racoons and asked them not to be so pesky next time. We kept saving the babies from the dumpster got a good repore with their folks.

I just can't leave a campground with things lying around that were not there when I arrived. Just a thing that my parents taught me a long time ago. :applause:
