no matter what, camping is still a good deal...prices are around 15-30 bucks a night compared to a motel room for 75(cheap) to 150+ depending on location and such...I like to get out and about...I prefer the woods over any city and for the difference in cost, I can pay for my gas and get T-bone for supper...not a bad deal at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We don't make time to go camping very many times a year anyway, so I think we can re-arrange our priorities to make sure we get to spend time with our tear drop and tiny trailer friends.

That's how I see it, too. We like traveling with a trailer because not only do we have the comforts of home, its like we have our home, too!

Hotel stays are way pricey for us. Sarah worked for Hilton for several years and she's pretty picky about where we stay.

And no, she does not know Paris! :)

Absolutely still the best deal around by comparison to hotels.

As for me, I am always looking for BLM and off-the-grid camping locations, so when I'm successful in that, the price is always right.

Both my Mom & Dad Camped before they met.

I was 2 months old the first time I went camping.

I was a Boy Scout.

Camped another 18 years on a regular basis with my parents.

In the military I was forced to camp. And afterwords I still willingly went back...& often.

I met my Wife Camping and we think one of our kids was conceived while camping.

My kids started camping as infants, and still do.

I work in the Camping industry.

I built my first trailer 28 years ago.

I am not New to this.

I remember my Dad squawking when the sites in State Parks went from $ .50 a night to a Dollar...but he kept on going.

I, am a Professional Camper.

And will keep on doing it regardless of the cost.

Camping is a state of mind.

I love getting away and do it often.

I close my shop in the Summer so I can.

There are thousands of places to camp for very little or for free if money is an issue.

You can do it in your back yard.

If your a True Camper.

If you want to go to Resorts then there may be a problem.

Cut back on Camping?

Not a chance.

Absolutely. This is a T&TTT camping brotherhood AND sisterhood. Has to be both, otherwise we don't conceive all of those camping babies throughout history, let alone Len's kids. It's a well known fact, for example, that the person that invented the wheel... his parents were campers. Same goes for the guy that invented walking. Where would we be if his parents were not campers? Shoot, I think I'm gonna get up right now in honor of that dude and walk around the house. This is important stuff people.

I have a feeling camping will still be a less expensive form of entertainment - even if it gets more expensive so will everything else it's relative too

Camping is not just a tradition, it's in the blood. I would much rather be sleeping under the stars than some high rate hotel. Prices will always go up, but unless it completely gets too crazy, I'll find a way to go. Hell, kids don't need that college education anyhow!

One of the advantages of passing 60 in Ohio is that you are eligible for a Golden Buckeye card. The Ohio State parks give a 50% discount Monday through Thursday.
We took advantage of this a number of times this summer.
