Completed in 2009!!!

Postby Juneaudave » Sat Nov 21, 2009 12:17 pm

Last year, John (jdarkoregon) started a thread on Completed in 2008 that was so successfull, it seemed like we should do it again!

The premise is that so many members have finished their trailers this year, that it is a good idea to put all the 2009 trailers in one place, soooooo......

How about showing us a picture(s) of your 2009 trailer and if you built it, share with us how long it took. It's amazing how many great new trailers we get each year!!!

I'll start with the SlumberMAX...First frame weld July, 2006... Roof rack complete May, 2009

Mine is not in the same league as Dave's but I did finish it this year.

Little Switzerland took 17 months from purchase of trailer to calling it complete. Trailer bought on May 18 2008 and last touches (window boxes) done October 25 2009.

Monstero (after the whale in Pinocchio) Started planning during 2008, made first steel cut for frame October 2008, first camping trip Memorial Day 2009, "finished" August 2009. Still plan on adding a tongue box, receiver tables and solar someday  . Custom from trailer to decor. Randy welded the trailer, Debbie designed, made and hand quilted the decor. We both made everything else together. Cost @ 3000, including all decor , including new green speckle enamelware! (handmade quilts from quality fabric are not cheap, as Doug will tell you!) Birch ply walls and inside. Cherry interior trim, Oak galley cabinets. Epoxy outside, then marine spar varnish. 6 trips so far!

I started the Coppertop in March, and it was ready for camping in August.
It's not in either Dave or Marks league, but all the same, it was finished this year. Its very basic with no 12v or mains electric as it stands. Both may come sometime in the future. Jess and Nick are thrilled with it. I wish I had a trailer at 17.

I started #3 Nov 2008 & I could finish it this year, and may just do so, but... I like even numbers  so it will be registered as a 2010.

Built the framework in about one month in 2008. Didn't start working on it again until March of 09. It was almost done, or campable by May 2009.

Where are the rest, that slumber inn is out there somewhere

Thanks for starting this thread - I have already seen a couple trailers that I hadn't been able to see finished until now.

I started the frame in October 2006 And camped in the trailer in September 2009. Mind you there was a lot of other projects between those dates. Not to mention the ever so present lack of funds. Image
