I'm thinking about picking up one of these to tow it with, I'd hate to be underpowered!!

We tow with a 1999 Subaru Forester with 2.5 four cylinder boxer engine and an automatic. It does not seem to even really notice the trailer back there

Someone close to where I live has one. I'd say over kill for anything that has to be towed. I saw a CXT and compared the specs. If I remember correctly the Super Crewzer is more powerful. The only difference is the CXT has a bed.

1995 Nissan 2.4L / manual transmission with 170,000+ miles. Had to put brakes on her this summer and asked the mechanic to be gentle with her 'cause she's a keeper.

His response, "only 170,000 miles? She's just getting broke in good. We sometims see these 2.4's with 350,000+ miles on them. They're bullet proof."

Well, mine hasn't exactly been "bullet proof" but I'm madly in love with her. She'll stay around even if I get another TV.

She's my "dog" truck also ;)

If it's not broken, you're not trying hard enough.

That reminds me of that Nissan ad several years back where an actor playing the infamous Mr K says, "Dog's love trucks!"

Maybe I'll get one of those instead and make my TD a fifth wheel. It has it's possibilities.

I use a Honda Odyssey..... I lose about 3 mpg.... has enough power and almost enough brakes....

Met a Dodge Caravan owner pulling a Bolero Camper. Says it cuts his mileage by 25%...

Postby sftiggee » Wed Aug 10, 2005 1:31 pm

I use a Beetle TDI. When not towing, I average around 37mpg. When towing, I average 25mpg. Of course, I have a bit of a lead foot:(
