Since I finshed mine early this year, I've pulled it 6,570 miles. Most of it was around Texas but included one trip to Indiana, and two just into Louisiana.

Got it in Idaho last June and have used it for six more trips since getting home - all in state. One of these years am going to head to Canada, maybe when I retire. :)

This year with the Minden trip and normal trips with my trailer I put in about 6000 miles. On a normal year around 2500-3000 miles.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

Most "normal" years in the past were 3,000-5,000 miles. Last year, with Minden and that extended trip, along with several others, our total is between 10,000 and 12,000. We re-discovered that we really LIKE traveling with a teardrop (we've been weekend and short-vacation teardropping for over 21 years!), and are now planning our future summers so we can make even more long-distance vacations. In '06 we'll keep mostly to CA, OR, & WA - with the possibility of a quick blast down to Peach Springs, AZ - but it's '07 that I'm looking forward to ... ;-} ;-} ... !

However many miles you travel with your teardrops, make them SAFE miles, and get as much enjoyment out of each and everyone of them as you can! In the meantime ...

CHEERS!

Between Minden and then a trip to Bonneville I have in excess of 6,000 miles on mine, I won't put near that many miles on it in 06, but as Grant says 07 will be another year for lots of miles, especially if the ITG works out.

I have only pulled my trailer frame. It was one hell of a drive. I picked it up used in malibu 35-45? miles north of me in LA. It took me 4.5 hours to make that short drive back home. Stop go, stop go, turn car off.....set.......go stop go stop go. :? :? :? Some car hit the wall in rush hour traffic on the 405!!!!! Seeing my trailer behind me made it all worth it though. In a couple weeks i plan to take the teardrop back to Malibu to go camping for its first time. Then Dillon beach. I hope for a drive to Oklahoma before too long.
Im not lazy. I just hang out a lot.
