bedding what bedding did you use inside?

Postby Ron Dickey » Wed Mar 01, 2006 11:13 pm

The whole reason for these high fangled trailers is mostly to get a better sleep then a tent.

And the most important part of all is if you are not sleeping on the floor what you are sleeping on.

We will talk about food later ... I know you built it so you could get steak and eggs, waffles with blue berry syrup, Beer and Wine and every thing fine but after much too much what do you crawl off to?

4" high density foam. The first night was unusual but after that we adjusted. Best nights sleep I've had out bush.
Cheers

Knox Foam, Grade A, medium, with their custom covers, and a feather bed on top.

4" Knox Foam and 1 1/2" Memory Foam in a Knox Foam cover. GREAT! I recommend it.

Oh yea, I also have a 4" mattress, with 2" memory foam on top, all covered by a beautiful zipperd cover... affordably priced at Walmart...

I used a 4" mattress taken from an small travel trailer. It folds and is a perfect fit.

Inner spring Futon mattress.

Futon style because it is so much easier to bend to get in and out.

Inner spring for serious comfort.

I had a custom futon made to fit my trailer. It is more comfortable than my bed at home. One great thing about a futon is that is is so easy to get in and out of the trailer.
Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it kind? Ask yourself these simple questions every time you are in doubt about any action.

Mike,
Is that in four sections, (for the dinette) with the feather thing used only when it's made up as a bed, or did you nix the dinette and just go one piece?

I'll be using a air mattress for now, hopefully replaced by a foam mattress later this summer.

Hard to justify a $200 mattress in a $500 teardrop.

I used the 6in Wal Mart foam mattress. I guess it's the same one Mike mentioned, 4in foam with 2in memory foam in a zippered case.

I'm planning on cutting it up into 4 pieces... However, it's such a nice mattress, I may just buy some knox foam instead.
