Okay, will someone try it again. Something larger than 2 meg would be a good test.

Thanks,

The attachment’s file size is too large, the maximum upload size is 2 MB.
Please note this is set in php.ini and cannot be overridden.

Just got this message attempting a 4.78mb file. 10:30am eastern leap day, 2012

Dave,

Thank you for the test. Everything seems to be working. So let's upload those skp files...

Me? I have to learn how to use the program first! But I will upload a chassis that I did in a different program.

I downloaded this a few weeks ago, but just really started playing around with SketchUp last night after I saw the plans you guys made. This definitely seems to be a good tool for planning out stuff like this. A lot easier to make the various changes I keep wanting to make than on paper. Once I get past the learning curve (which doesn't seem too bad), this is going to be a tool I come back to quite often.

Oh good, I'm not the only one learning SU. :)

Looking forward to playing with it this weekend.

It's really simple to use, which is why it is so powerful.

The most important thing to do is to keep your parts separate by creating components. Once you're done with a wall, triple-click it, then right click and click create component. That way, all the drawing tools and push/pull won't affect that part anymore!

I've used Sketchup and CAD for work quite a lot, so if you get stuck or need help figuring something out, feel free to ask. 8)

Good tip with making components. I can already see how that's going to be beneficial, as I went to make a change to a wall and it affected everything touching it.

Just checking to see if this thread is still viable. I downloaded SketchUp and am really digging it. I of course am still enduring the learning curve though, so if help is available, it will be appreciated. Thanks.

Realize the is a pretty old thread.

Has anyone else had problems recently uploading files larger than 2 Mb? I've been trying to upload my first design and I keep getting the message about a 2 Mb limit. Don't think any of my designs are that small (course I probably keep too many details in the models, coolers, stoves, ect.)

Still getting the message

I guess this limit is still/back in place :(
