Cabin Car

Postby danlott » Wed Apr 17, 2013 3:50 pm

Since it has been too cold to work on my real trailer I have finished up a SketchUp design of a Cabin Car teardrop. I used Andrew's drawings and made some modifications to try and simplify the design. This is a fairly complex trailer, but I really like the looks of it. This model is very detailed and has several layers. Enjoy.

I love it! I love the cabin car style. If we were ever to build a bigger one, that would be the style. Nice job Dan.

Thank you for your kind comments. I really enjoy making these models in SketchUp. I really like seeing how things fit together and ways to improve them.

Great job Dan,

You must really enjoy knocking these out with the SketchUp software? You are certainly very good at it.

Once I can get a bit more time on my hands I will sit down and learn to use SketchUp properly. I have played around with it, but there is a bit much learning for me to do at the moment.

Keep up the great work!

I really appreciate the work you have put into those plans and designs to share with others. Thanks mate  :applause:

Thank you Donnan. When you do have time check out the video series on how to create a teardrop in SketchUp. I created these videos to help people learn SketchUp a little faster.
