Vinyl Gravel Guard Alternative to Diamondplate - Thoughts?

Postby Andrew Herrick » Mon Oct 03, 2016 10:24 pm

So I discovered a quick n' dirty alternative to diamond treadplate for fenders or a rock shield. I haven't used it, but I wonder if anyone has, and if so, what's the verdict. It's a peel n' stick vinyl gravel guard. Can be bought per linear foot or by the roll. It often seems to be used to protect the fenders or the lower front siding.

Its also called Racers Tape Surface Guard Tape. Its been around for a while. Its just sold under different names. Some newer cars have it from the factory. From what I have seen it holds up pretty good.

Here is one link of many if you do a google by that name.
