I used 1/8" birch inside and out. Glue and staples worked fine to hold it until everything dried.
Done? Surely you jest. A teardrop is never "done".

1/8" Baltic wants to bend (as long as you do it with the grain). This ceiling is sitting on a bead of glue ––I crown-stapled it down after that pic. The spars were added after it was in place.

That ceiling is joined with a gusset and has already been finished on the inside.

I used 5mm luan. After gluing and screwing at the front bottom and letting it dry. I used wet towels on both sides to get that initial bend going. Gluing and screwing temporarily. After drying, go another spar. After a couple days, was able to just whip through it. The inside I used 1/8" plywood. Wet towels for the tight curve, but it wanted to bend without it. Inside I used wood strips so the screws couldn't pull through. Once dry all screw holes were filled. Take your time if you have a tight radius to bend. It's really not that bad
