when switching to the newer PU - going from a 6ft bed to a 5ft, I kept my old bed pad and used it by just cutting off the 1ft of extra - then almost threw away the extra = but when looking at the Rock Tamers a mental flash happened and was able to use the excess for Mud Flaps. Was able to mount (u-bolts) a 1x1 square steel 5.5ft long bar on top of my hitch and made slide on/removable mud flaps with the excess bed pad that work GREAT!! - to include stopping a lot of gravel also. Not as cool or as beautiful as the set-up Danny made for his - ( :thumbsup: VERY NICE :applause: ), but they do work and are easy to remove when not needed!! :thumbsup:
