Eric
My TD is a comet, sort of. I used all I could and then wandered off. I like the size and the shape. Oh yes I made it 5' wide too.

The plans realy give you a big help and answer lots of questions.

I wonder if anyone makes a full-size template for the Comet?

I'm currently building the Comet. I sort of did things the way I wanted, moved axle, built frame a little differently. My profile is the same however. Woody sides, gonna be aluminum skin top. Check out my album on this site for pics....Doug Hodder

Eric,
I'm in the process of building a Comet pretty much as the plans call for. I did extend the inside length to 80" but everything else is the same. You really don't need a template. It only takes about 10 minutes with a ruler (yard stick) and square and a 4-ft long dowel to lay out the entire profile. Kevin's plans (KuffelCreek) are really all you need but Andrew's site also has the layout available. Really, it's a *lot* easier than you'd think! 8)

I just ordered Kevin's Comet CD-ROM, so I am looking forward to the build. To be honest even though its been less than a month that I even knew TD's exsisted. I really like the size of a Comet compared to some other models.
