Thanks for the kind words bve, 2bits and unforgiven. Even though I didnt work on the Hilton for 2 months, not a day went by that I wasnt thinking about or trying to figure out the gally layout, expecialy the oven / stove! Ive been looking at the link to the gallys on flicker and going over and over the hall of fame. Beyond that I now have my epoxey and filler from the Rot Doc, Its time to get off the pot and make some progress. :hammer:

Tony,

Glad to see you are back at it. I haven't done anything for about a month myself.

Nice work on the doors. By the way, I'm using the same lockset if I can figure out how to install them.

Aggie79,

My lock set is made by Pella if I remember correctly and if I can offer som advice before you try installing a pella lockset you might want to compare it to another make, the Pella rides real close to the edge of the door which is going to make puting on a door seal a challenge. Does that make sence? :?

Hi Tony,

Thanks for the advice on the lockset. I seem to have misplaced mine - time to clean out the garage I guess - but I'm pretty sure it is like yours. My doors will have an "inside seal" so I'm hoping that may minimize some of the seal problems.

If I ever get a chance to work on my teardrop again - hopefully over the holidays - I'll mock up things to see how they will work.

Hey All!

A little progress dispite the cold, cabinet doors for the cabin ready for stain.

Potty box needs a few more pieces of trim.

Image

I went with a simple little ceramic heater mounted in the cabinet door to keep the floor clear, on low the thing will drive you out in short time.

Hoping to crawl in and get the stain and laquer started this weekend. ;)

Thanks Doug, :)

Burk,
I was thinking of doing the cabinet doors two tone, center dark like the counter top and stain the frames and everything else with golden oak. I love the warm look of golden oak. Whats your thought?

Hey All!

A little Weekend progress to share.

Image
Left upper - Silverware drawer
Left middle - Pull out cutting board or extendo countertop
Left lower - Storage with door
Center top - Oven / Stove on pull out for access to small gas bottle
Center botton - Big drawer or spot for a folding table
Right - Fridge / custom cooler

Image
I'm going to make a metal grill to fit in behind the stove to allow heat to escape from the oven.

Image
Pull out for easy access to the small propane btl.

I've stared at the back end of this trailer for a year and tried to figure out how to fit in everyting I like about all of your builds. :?

Thanks for looking ;)
