trailer sides

Postby Bill J » Tue Jan 06, 2009 12:28 am

Another newby question. If I look at the various photos on the net of teardrop trailers I see some where the sidewalls come just to the trailer frame and others which appear to go below the frame. I figure you could channel the body over the frame rails to give you that look but am certain it would cut down your cabin inside height.
My question. Are most designs built so the sides end flush with the rails or has the rounded profile got me confused?
Thanks.

Bill, the choice is yours..we build over the frame, but we use a custom frame, if you use a "store bought" frame that is 48"s wide, you will probably end up on top of the frame...the really nice thing about these campers is the fact that it is yours and can build/customize it the way you want......
