Going through my Photo's I found this
Image

It's a TD that was commercially built in Melbourne, Victoria back in the 1940's

If you want to see more, just ask and I will post more pics.
Cheers
Paul

Paul,
I'd love to see any more pix you have for this TD, especially the galley area if there is one.

Thanks for the post. That's one cute little trailer.

Thanks for posting those, Paul ... ...!

They're the most complete & descriptive set of pics of a Sportsman I've seen yet!

CHEERS!

That is an interesting trailer, and very unique fenders.

Paul, thanks for posting the pics.

:D, G'day PaulC,
That little TD looks as if it's all ready and rarin' to be hitched on behind an FX Holden and away for a weekend at some lovely riverside spot. I live in Newcstle and last Saturday I went to the Hunter Valley Gardens for the day. On the way home, driving through Neath what should I spot coming the other way but an FX. As I got closer I noticed something behind the Holden. It was a TD much like the one in your photos. The Holden was cream, the TD yellow and they were headed toward Cessnock. That's the third TD I've seen in the Hunter in the last 4 weeks.

Cheers,
Ross.

Keep Looking Ross and you'll see them in the most unusual places ;) I've also got some drawings of their later TD's that Andrew has added to his design library page, if anyone is interested.
Cheers
Paul

Hi Paul

I found this old thread of your tonight. I thought I should post some photos I took this year of a Sportsman at Eastern Creek classic car show. It appears very similar to the one you posted but has different guards and hatch details.

I have posted a lot more pics in a gallery sub folder : gallery/album.php?album_id=3256

Hi Michael,
Thanks for that. The best thing about owning a TD is being able to have the same but with slight differences, hey.
Cheers
Paul
