Mimwax Golden Oak. Came out a bit darker than what I'd hoped for, but it don't look too bad in the sunshine. Gonna use a marine varnish over the top of it.

GH-

Looking great!, the marine varnish will probably yellow mellow it a bit!

Don't sweat it nice warm color, whatcha gonna do (color wise) with the accent wood trim?

I am thinking the trim will be a much lighter, or clear, finish. I liked the shade that came out on the poplar much better than the oak.
Lesson learned. Don't buy a gallon sight unseen! :o

GH-

Where's the Poplar? Or was it just a test piece? Are you using Oak for your trim?

Boy lots of questions huh?

Clear Marine Varnish with no stain on Oak trim will be slightly yellow (both finishes will darken/yellow with age slightly) would give a NICE contrast!
