Teardrops n Tiny Travel Trailers

there is a man who designed and built his trailer back when teardrop times did things off of the traditional but gat narrower as the people increased and they needed to stay with in the main topic of teardrop trailer. Filled with many interesting ideas.

anyway look at this site. it is big and heavy double axle but I have seen the trailer and bin in it.

This design is just SCREAMING at me. I like it the best of all I have seen so far. I think cuz of the all wood sides and roof mainly. The futon seat/bed is a neat idea too. The trailer may be a bit of a problem though, with the wheel set so far back. I may have to redesign a bit to make it work on a bolt together trailer. I have no welder or welding skills. With the sides covering the wheel it may not look to bad. I am going to have to draw something up and see if I can get it to work. Based on the drawings by Andrew and judging by the photos I have seen, the original looks too big for one of the HF trailers.

GH...a thought...ask around among your friends and co-workers and see if you can find someone with the welding expertise you lack...then cut the steel, get it all squared up and ready to weld...then have the weldor comeon over for some supper or a few cold ones and have 'em weld it up...that is what we did...once it was all ready, it only took my welding buddy a couple of hours to weld it allup

Maybe a more suitable frame would be a modified BOAT trailer?!

WHEW!!!!!! I'd better hide those links from my girlfriend! A sit-tub and potty in an enclosed space INSIDE? WOW! That's one good looking trailer. Talk about a step up from a teardrop!

That is really a nice interpretation of a cabin car. I'm impressed! I might just have to turn my widget into a cabin car!

OOPS!!! My girlfriend saw the Cabin Car! She's informed me the NEXT trailer will have a "sit-tub and toilet inside". I told you so!!!

1) that cabin car must weigh a ton, literally.... second, that roadster can probably pull it about 1 mile before it overheats.... whew....

Lets see, I promise my wife a tear with a potty and bath, then half way thru the build I tell I need a new truck to pull it.
I better wire it for cable in case I have to live in it.

I am getting ready to cut cardboard even as we speak

I think I got the shape right. I took some sheets of cardboard and made sides for a mock-up of sorts. It is I made them 10' long 4' tall and 5' wide. If I can figure out the photo post thingy I will get some up.
