Well so far we have 12 trailers that have already reserved sites to date. I wouldn't wait to long to get a site so you can be nearby. There are plenty of sites in other loops still available. I still wouldn't wait until the last minute however

"Care" You are lucky you got a site. It is a busy park all year long but in the fall it is filled to capacity. Where are you from? Looks like you are a newbie.

It is usually nice that time of year. Still warm enough most of the time but with Florida weather you never know. It can get cool at night since it is so close to the ocean but warm enough to walk the beach during the day. :)

Remember this campground fills up fast. There is a section of the campground that says tent only. They will allow small trailers and pop-ups in there. As it looks so far this will be a most memorable campout like Steve suggests. November is right around the corner. I just got to survive hurricane season and I am there 8) 8)

Made reservations!

Postby Alfred » Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:08 am

Hey Gang,

In keeping with my "absolutely must get my build camp-able this season" goals, I reserved site 35 for this gathering! There are only a smattering of sites still available, scattered throughout the park. So if you have not booked, better get it done!

It has been years since I have been to Anastasia State Park, but I remember it being a beautiful park! Looking forward to seeing y'all there!

I checked last night and the only sites available were for tents. If your trailer is smaller than ten feet you might be able to camp in those spots. The Inkwell is too large. I'll start checking as the date draws closer for some possible cancelations.

Hope to be able to join you.

In the past we have had some teardrops in the tent sections. There are sites in the loop we are in that are tent sites and people have rented those everytime so far and nobody said anything at all. And the city of St. Augustine is well worth the trip to begin with. I would try those tent sites to get a spot because of the interest in this gathering as a whole seems rather large to begin with. The only difference in those sites is size anyway. They all have water and electric just like the bigger sites. I would still reserve one anyway.
