The Firewood is handled. I will be there about 11 am give or take a half hour on Friday. I will be on site #3 with the wife. PM me and I will give my cell phone #. It will be interesting with all the response I have gotten via e-mail from people outside the group is still coming in as I type this. Hopefully thE weather will be decent, cold but decent.

We might have quite the crowd on saturday of curious future teardroppers. Maybe if everyone brings some of there build pictures, it might be easier to explain to them what it takes to build a teardrop.

I have not heard back from the media either, we will see if they come. Looking foward to meeting all of you at the gathering this weekend.

Florida Meet

Postby Tom Minor » Wed Feb 16, 2005 11:37 am

My wife and I had a fun time meeting all of you who came to the Talbot Island meet. The campground was just lovely with all of the live oaks and Spanish Moss. The company was warm-hearted and genuine, and we really enjoyed ourselves. I was in awe of the hours of work and the ingenuity of those of you who had built your own teardrops, but that also gave us a renewed appreciation for how much time, effort and thought had been put into the development of our teardrop by Cary Winch and the others at CampInn. Having no engineering or building talent myself, and even less patience, I am glad that I did not attempt to build my own. Thanks to you all for allowing us to be a part of your group, even though we bought ours instead of building it.

Tom and Jeff,, good to finally meet you both,, as its been said a lot of times its about the friendships, and the good times had together that is most important,, the equipment is just where we retreat to after a great day is over. Hope yall will join us on more of our get togethers, and will be looking forward to them,,

Tom, Nice meeting you too. Never have to appoligize or whatever for having a manufactured tear. Nobody cares about that. Given some time you will make some changes to it and personalize it so it can truly be "yours". I think those Camp Ins are beautiful and you are lucky that I didn't borrow your fenders. Hee Hee

I need a pair of those fenders myself. I wonder if Cary sells them to the public? Glad to have meet you Tom and Jeff, awesome Camp- Inn, I had never seen one other than pictures. They sure know how to build them there at Camp-Inn. Have Fun with it and like Alan said feel free to personalize it. Greet meeting everyone at Talbot
