There are 15AMP hookups there, right?

Although I have a 30amp system, my cord is now configured with a 15amp 3-prong. I figure without using the AC, I should be fine, as long as I can plug in with the 3-prong.

We are going to be there on Friday afternoon even though I could win a prize for the shortest distance traveled to get there, about 5 miles. Please don't run the Chupacabra's off until I get there to help.

Ira, if there are no 15A recepticles, I can bring a 100' extension cord for you to hook up to my 30A plug.

5 miles? How can you possibly afford the gas?

I figure this will cost me $150 in petrol alone, let alone tolls. (Hint, hint...feed me beers and other mind altering stuff that's still a misdemeanor.)

Thanks for the offer, Steve. I'll check my financial statement and see if I can afford to go to HD to get a 30 amp plug and strip it onto that wire.

It's not the money so much, it's the TIME I have left to get everything ready and loaded. This is also a double pain now because I'll be loading a lot of galley stuff for the first and ONLY time that I'll have to load it, stuff that will always stay in the TD.

And the last thing I want to do is tell another HD story, around a CAMPFIRE yet.

Yes there are 15 amp hookups at the park and 30 and even some 50 amp depending on the site size and location

I know you will all have a great time, just wish we could all be there.

Ira, a suggestion for all your galley stuff. Make a comprehensive list of everything you think you might possibly need. Pack everything on the list into several carboard boxes with tops. Place all closed boxes outside next to the tear. Shuffle them around so you don't know what's in which. Pack 1/3 to 1/2 of the boxes in the galley (that's all you will be able to fit anyway). Take the other boxes in the house. Anything you don't have when you get to Anastasia, someone else will have.

I hardly touched anything in my galley at the LCG (and I fit most everything on my list!), except my cooler for beer. The universe (read other wonderful teardrop campers) provided more than what I needed. You will have a similar great group there.

Y'all have fun for us!

It's 11:30 PM the night before, about to go to bed so I can wake up and head north, and...

I'm ALREADY hung over, just thinking about this.

Thanks for the nice wishes, guys. Because tomorrow...

St. Augustine or bust!

I've already given my cell number to a few of the guys attending the gathering. I told them that if I'm not there by 2, they should notify the Coast Guard and State Police:

They can use that number to hone in on the signal and locate me and The Crab when we drive off the road and onto the bottom of the St. John's River.
