Well psycho, welcome to the neighborhood.
I've been through summerville quite often on my way to various gas stations around there to fix them..thats what I do..fix gas pumps.
since the Enmark went away, I haven't been there as often.

Make sure you bring plenty of hootch to drink to the party, wouldn't want you to run out.

I am not sure we can make this, since we are going to NC the weekend before and TN the weekend after (and very limited on vacation time). But I noticed that the Apple loop is all booked up. What other area of the campground are others staying in if they couldn't get into the Apple loop?

WOW !!! I was hoping that this Okie would make it out to see y'all in October. Now I've got Oct 5-9 in Albuquerque, NM then possibly a Louisiana gathering in late October? Don't know if I would even have vacation or better yet GAS MONEY to make it to Davidson!!!

But HECK ! That's what Teardrops are for!!!!!

I really don't know if this is doable, but if it is then I"M COMING !!!!

Hey Cheryl,

If you can get there early enough that Friday morning, try to get into the Sycamore Loop. It is the loop right beside Apple Tree Loop. However it is a First Come, First Serve and the campground does fill up fast due to the fall colors. The Sycamore Loop (on Reservamerica) shows it is for tents only.....Not True. The Park Rangers allow us to camp in those sites too.

Hope you can join us.

My suggestion is to try to get there before Friday noon, if possible, if you are going to try for a first come / first served site. We went last year (can't go this year - it conflicts with a pig roast) and got to the campground mid afternoon on Friday and got the very last campsite available in the campground on the first come / first served basis. I imagine that all of the reservable sites are gone by now. Its a pretty popular campground in October.

 Suggestion: Seeing as how we don't have utilities and water at each site why don;t we just do a pizza run Saturday night. If I remember correctly there is Pizza and a Sub shop at the shopping center/grocery store right outside the park. Everybody bring their own drinks and we would be good to go.
