You eat Manatee? Aren't they endangered?

They're so ugly they're actually cute. Have you seen the manatee mail boxes down in the keys?

I just had another thought. Steve was telling me at the last gathering that he cooks with cast iron all the time. I'm a newbie at cast iron and I'm wondering if there is interest from others, not just myself, in having Steve teach us about cooking and cleaning cast iron.

What say you?

What about you, Steve, are you game?

No I do not eat manatee. I was just joking ;)
I think Bush took them off the endangered list.
I don't think of them as ugly, I think of them as manatees
Yes, have seen the manatee mailboxes, lots of them in South Florida along with dolphins, pelicans and fish.

I guess we could get together with our iron and talk about it if you want. I'm no expert though, I am at the stage when cooking in iron and things go wrong, at least I know what I should have done.

I thought everyone ate Manatee :o (hee-hee)

I cook in D.O.'s and enjoy it. I am sure we can whip up some dessert or something. It's not hard Lynn...just gotta keep an eye on it and keep the coals going. I'll bring a few pieces with me.

First, thanks so much for thinking of us. I sure wish it was even a remote possibility to join you guys. However, we have too much on our plates next year to do a long trip.

I know you will have fun and we will be there in spirit.

Sorry to hear you can't make it Auntie M. maybe someday you'll get this far south.

Or we'll get that far north. How big is your yard? I believe you have a few less tress after less year's ice storms.

Hey everybody. Just wanted to let you know that Dan would like to grill a Pork loin for the dinner. If y'all would rather we did another dish, let me know. But, I promise I am not doing another burnt desert this time.

I hope there is a grill at our site. I did see pictures of one site and it did have a grill.

But your burnt dessert was so yucky...I mean yummy. :D Pork loin sounds dee-lish. Tell "Dan" we are looking forward to this.
I can't wait for Christmas to be over with and get back to camping! I'm getting a camping lounge chair like Steve and Kim have. It's hiding in the spare bedroom...I keep peeking at it. Hurry up Christmas morning!

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and safe, fun and Happy New Year! :wine:
