Due to a broken leg last week and a operation to repair it yesterday it looks like we may not make it like we had planed.
If I get to feeling better we may still try.

Howdy all! I'm new here and came to the boards to ask about a few questions and found out about this gathering. We're from the Huntsville/Madison area, and will probably make a day trip of it on Saturday if the rain isn't too bad.

We'll bring our EZ Up, a couple of chairs, a cooler and a camera.

I've been a confirmed tent camper for years and had been piddling with plans to build some type of utility trailer to hold my camping gear and as kind of a permanent closet and kitchen.

I've been pouring all over the web looking at Teardrops ever since I saw the Travel Channel show and can't wait to see some in person. This is definitely the kind of camper I want.

We'll be in a blue Sport Trac.

P.S. Here's a picture, the mouse won't be coming though :D

we're on

Postby stbuch » Wed Sep 20, 2006 9:36 pm

We are die hard campers and we're on. We rarely have a camping trip without rain anyway, so we're used to it. We've had to wring water out of sleeping bags before! If it gets highly electrical we might have to leave but if it's just a little wet we still plan to come.

the cast

Postby stbuch » Wed Sep 20, 2006 10:11 pm

Keith,

I think Mike is still coming, and I thought Mc was coming up tomorrow. Gwen and Rodney were planning to come but they've not weighed in on the weather. Sid-n-Side said they were coming (Friday I think), and Paw_Paw Drew fom B'ham.
There may be more folks than you think!

We'll be there around 5 or 5:30 on Friday (gotta work).

Just saw the local weather. Brad Travis says: Rain early am on Friday moving out by noon. then scattered on Saturday with the best chance overnight on Saturday. So it sounds like Friday evening and Saturday daytime might be ok.

Carol & Rick, come on down and hang out!

Just wondering if ya'll had to bail last night due to the severe weather??

We're getting ready to head that way in a couple of hours. I'm assuming no news is good new unless anybody brought a puter with them.

looks like everyone had a good time, wish we could have made it.
I spent the weekend on the couch on painkillers which couldn't have been near as fun.
I hope by the next get together I'll be up and hobleing at least.

David hope the pain is subsiding. Saturday night was excellent sleeping weather for those that stayed. Give me a month or two and I'll be ready for the for another get together if it is close by.
