Well, Honey I am home,,, another fine weekend in da woods,,,, the weather was ab so dang lutely perfect,, warm clear days and cool nights, small but good group of friends, and an new couple, Ken and Loraine stopped in for a visit,,, The fishing was a bust,,, not a single fish, but I guess I should have been watching the line rather than socializing,,Lake Greenwood State Park is definately a great place to spend a few days,,,

I didnt get pics but there were two new ideas on small campers,, One a grandma was camping in, its a 5'wide x 4' high x5' long trailer,,, neat idea for short person,,, bed was across the front, rear entry, with cabnets down each side,,, had a/c, microwave, cd/dvd/system ,, and she pulls it with a small p/u truck,,, she said if she can pull straight in she got it made,,, she has not mastered backing yet,,, her daughter in law and son camp with her in an older shasta,,,

another couple had a home built p/u slide in for a long bed truck,,, it got a bit heavy,,,, so he mounted it on the front of a 16' dual axle utility trailer,,, the back 8' is a covered pourch with a swing,,, ladder to the roof deck is also useable when tree limbs arnt in the way,,,, this couple has room on the pourch to fit a golf cart on when they are traveling,,, this guy is giving tumbleweed units a run for their money,,,

the only way the monster rigs could compete was to open up their outside tv and invite all the neighbors to watch the game sat night,,, (bring your own chair) but the odd, unique and tiny trailers were what interested the majority of the campers the rest of the time,,,

and a fine time was had by all

chipper

Chip: 8)

You sound great after your camping trip. 8)

That rig the little lady had must have been compact?
Did you by chance get any pics of her setuP?

Can imagine like most times the small Teardrops draw
the crowd. ... Can also imagine you dragging your chair
over to watch the game with maybe a velvet bagged bottle
with a little special green juice in hand to stave off yet
abide the night air?

is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards." -------Theodore Roosevelt

Steve, I didnt get any pics but Clancy did,, I am sure he will get them posted,,, it was a very compac unit, like I said it was great for one short person, with two it would get real crowded on the 2' bunk,,,, but for a solo camper it was enough,, the frame was an old popup cut way down,,, It had a toungue box for extras and accessories, A lot of the parts were recycled out of the pop up,, even the door was a cut down camper door,,

purple/blueish bag with gold trim is standard equipment, and the weather being sooooo cold,, well I just had to,,,,
